Leja Professional generates tenancy agreements using an AI-assisted drafting process. You provide the key facts — parties, property, rent amount, duration, and payment schedule — and Leja produces a PDF agreement drafted to the specific tenancy law of the property’s state. The agreement includes the correct legal clauses, notice periods, penalty terms, and advance rent limits for that jurisdiction. You do not select a template or configure legal settings.Documentation Index

- Notice periods, renewal conditions, and penalty terms
- Advance rent and deposit terms
- State-required receipt language
Download the agreement PDF
Once you’re satisfied with the draft, download the PDF. For solo agents, the PDF is Leja-branded. For agency subscribers on the Scale tier and above, your firm’s branding replaces Leja branding. The agreement costs ₦500 per document generated. This appears on your Leja transaction statement.
Both parties confirm the agreement
When both the landlord and tenant confirm the signed agreement, Leja records a LEASE_STARTED witnessed event. The agreement becomes part of the permanent tenancy record — not just a PDF in a folder. This confirmation is what closes the loop: the agreement stops being a document and becomes a witnessed record with both parties attributed.

From agreement to witnessed record
An agreement you download and store yourself is a document. An agreement confirmed by both parties inside Leja is a witnessed record. When both parties confirm, Leja:- Records a tenancy start event on the tenant’s permanent record
- Records the event on the property’s history
- Attributes the lease to your professional record
- Creates a permanent, immutable entry in the tenancy ledger
If a tenant already exists in Leja (from a previous tenancy or from using Leja Resident), the new lease is linked to their existing RIN. Their full payment and tenancy history is preserved and extended — not replaced.
