Leja Professional includes an intelligence layer that reads your portfolio data and surfaces signals you would otherwise have to find manually. The four capabilities — payment extraction, anomaly detection, payment prediction, and natural language queries — are operational tools that help you act on the right information at the right time. Every AI output in Leja Professional is advisory. No AI action modifies a payment record, a tenancy status, or any other witnessed event without your explicit confirmation. The AI handles volume; you make the consequential decisions.
AI features (anomaly detection, payment prediction, and natural language queries) require a Pro subscription or above. Payment extraction is available to all agents with a usage limit on the free tier. See Pricing for the full breakdown.

The four intelligence capabilities

Payment extraction reads a bank alert — either pasted text or an uploaded screenshot — and pulls out the structured payment details: amount, payer name, payment date, and transaction reference.Rather than typing in payment details manually for each bank notification you receive, you submit the alert and Leja returns the extracted fields for you to review. If the extraction is correct, you confirm and the payment is recorded. If any field is wrong, you correct it before confirming.Every extracted result carries a confidence indicator per field. Fields where the AI is uncertain are highlighted so you know exactly where to focus your review. When to use it: High-volume months, bulk reconciliation, or when tenants forward bank alerts via WhatsApp and you need to process several in sequence.Cost: ₦250 per extraction confirmed. You are not charged for extractions you discard without confirming.See Payments for the full extraction workflow.
Anomaly detection monitors the payment patterns across your portfolio and flags behaviour that deviates from a tenant’s established pattern or from expected payment norms.Examples of what anomaly detection surfaces:
  • A tenant who has paid on time for eight consecutive months begins paying 3–5 days late each month — a pattern that, if uncorrected, trends toward arrears
  • A payment amount that is consistently short by a small margin — suggesting a misunderstanding of the total charge rather than inability to pay
  • A timing shift where a previously reliable payer begins making payments at the very edge of the grace period
Anomaly detection runs automatically on a schedule across your portfolio. When a flag is raised, it appears in your intelligence feed with a description of the specific pattern that triggered it.What you do with a flag: Investigate and decide. Leja does not automatically contact the tenant, escalate the tenancy, or change any status. The flag is for your awareness. You decide whether to act — and how.Availability: Pro tier and above.
Payment prediction estimates, for each active tenant in your portfolio, the likelihood that they will pay on time in the upcoming payment period. It draws on each tenant’s full payment history in Leja — their pattern of on-time, late, partial, and missed payments — to produce a forward-looking risk signal. The output is a ranked view of your tenants by predicted payment risk for the coming month. Tenants flagged as high risk are those whose payment history patterns suggest a material probability of late or partial payment. How to use it: Review the prediction before the payment period opens. For tenants flagged as high risk, consider a proactive reminder or an early conversation. Catching a trend before it becomes arrears is always easier than recovering arrears after the fact.Important: Predictions are probabilistic estimates, not certainties. A high-risk flag does not mean a tenant will definitely pay late — it means their historical pattern warrants attention. Your knowledge of the tenant’s circumstances should always factor into how you respond.Availability: Pro tier and above.
Natural language queries let you ask questions about your portfolio in plain English and receive filtered, structured results — without navigating menus or building manual filter combinations.Examples of queries you can ask:
  • “Which tenants are more than 30 days overdue?”
  • “Show me all partial payments in Victoria Island properties this year”
  • “Which units have had no confirmed payment in the last 45 days?”
  • “List tenants whose leases expire in the next 60 days with no renewal recorded”
Leja translates your question into the appropriate filters and returns the matching records. You can then act on those records directly from the results view.Availability: Business tier and above. Natural language queries are not available on the Pro tier.

AI governance — what the AI cannot do

Regardless of tier or configuration, Leja Professional AI operates within firm boundaries:
  • The AI cannot confirm a payment — only you can
  • The AI cannot set or clear a fraud flag — flags require your review and decision
  • The AI cannot reject or accept a tenancy application — it ranks and flags, you decide
  • The AI cannot finalise or sign any agreement — human signature is always required
  • The AI cannot modify any witnessed record — the ledger is only written by your confirmed actions
These boundaries do not change based on the volume of your portfolio or your subscription tier. Speed and efficiency do not override the human-in-the-loop requirement.
