When you apply for a new rental, a shareable Resident profile gives a landlord something no self-reported application can: a verified record of your payment history, witnessed and permanent. You generate the link, choose what it includes, and send it to any landlord — whether they use Leja Professional or not. They follow the link and see your record, no Leja account required on their end.Documentation Index

What a shared profile shows
A landlord who opens your shared Resident profile link sees:- Verification tier badge —
NIN_REGISTERED,NIN_VERIFIED, orDOCUMENT_VERIFIED. This immediately signals the strength of your identity verification. - Leja Score tier — Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum. A quick summary of your residential trust level.
- Payment consistency rate — the percentage of rent payments made on or before the due date across all witnessed tenancies.
- Completed tenancies — the count of tenancies that ended cleanly, with their durations. Property locations are shown at LGA level (for example, “Yaba, Lagos”) — never exact addresses.
- Any disputes and their resolutions — disputes show as a count with their resolution status. A dispute resolved in your favor, or resolved amicably, reflects neutrally or positively.
How to generate a profile link
Open your Resident dashboard
Sign in at resident.leja.com. You need at least
NIN_REGISTERED tier to generate a shareable link.Choose what to include
Select which sections to include in the shared view. By default, all sections are included. You can exclude specific items — for example, if you prefer not to show a particular tenancy, you can omit it from this link. Note that what you include determines how complete your profile appears to the landlord.
Set an expiry (optional)
Choose whether the link expires after a set period — 7 days, 30 days, or no expiry. A time-limited link is appropriate when you are actively applying for a specific property. A permanent link is useful if you want to include your profile URL in your rental application documents.
Managing and revoking shared links
All active profile links appear in resident.leja.com → Access & Privacy → Active Consents. From there you can:- See every link you have created and whether it has been opened
- See the expiry date of each link
- Revoke any link immediately — it stops working the moment you revoke it
What the landlord cannot see
A shared profile link is not a complete data export. It shows derived signals and summary information — not raw records. The landlord cannot see:- Your exact address history (locations are at LGA level only)
- Your specific payment amounts
- The exact dates and amounts of any disputes
- Any Track 3 search or viewing behavior (this requires separate consent)
- Your contact details — you choose when and how to share those directly
Upgrading your profile before sharing
If you want to present the strongest possible profile, two actions make the most difference before you share:-
Upgrade to
NIN_VERIFIEDif you are still atNIN_REGISTERED. NIMC verification typically completes within 24 hours and unlocks your full Track 1 timeline for sharing. -
Upload your document to reach
DOCUMENT_VERIFIEDif you are applying for a property where the landlord may want a deeper signal. This tier unlocks the full profile and increases your Leja Score ceiling to Platinum.
